An 8,000+ word fantasy/allegory short story.
C.M. Williams has crafted a well-written and intriguing story. The plot moves at a good pace with plenty of fast action and nail-biting moments. I loved the beginning where not too much is given away, and the reader is drawn into the magic, tension, and danger. Scenes are described with enough vividness to make them and the unique and fascinating characters believable. – Reader’s Favorite Book Reviews
If you have a couple of hours free and want a good Christian fantasy, this is an enjoyable short story. It was easy to read and held my attention from the start. It had an atmosphere and setting reminiscent of Indiana Jones that was cleverly created and still unique. The characters were interesting and believable, and I found myself quickly intrigued by the wider world they inhabited. The depiction of God’s saving grace was thought provoking, and would be a good discussion starter, along with the attitudes portrayed. – Lauren H. – Goodreads
